Welcome to the new Sunday’s Well Boys National School School website.

Sunday’s Well B.N.S. is located in the Blarney Road / Strawberry Hill area of Cork City’s northside. We have a staff of 12 Teachers and 6 Special Needs Assistants to cater for the educational needs of approximately 160 children from surrounding areas.

Refurbished in 2010

Our National School is a Catholic School and also has due recognition for all other religions. We strive to promote a happy, caring, welcoming, secure and well-ordered environment for all our pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.

We also endeavour to nurture each child’s educational, spiritual, moral and cultural needs with due regard for the child’s unique individuality.

Our school is a centre of excellence where professional standards are maintained and is committed to the aims and principles of the revised 1999 Primary School Curriculum, enabling each child to:
· live a full life as a child and to realise his potential as a unique individual
· develop as a social being, through living and co-operating with others and so contribute to the good of society
· prepare for further education and lifelong learning

The ethos of our school is characterised by the spirit of warmth and friendliness through which we conduct our daily business and by the respect and dignity shown for all persons whether within or visiting our school community.

Sunday’s Well B.N.S. is respectful and accommodating of diversity whether in race, culture, religion or ability. We strive to provide an inclusive environment responsive to the needs of all, including children with special needs.

We value most highly our relationship with parents and the local community and urge you to work in partnership with us reinforcing the shared values of home and school.
