The inaugural Sunday’s Well B.N.S Invitational soccer tournament took place on Friday June 12th. The tournament consisted of 8 teams from Sunday’s Well B.N.S, Blarney Street, Padre Pio, The North Mon, Scoil Iosagáin and Holy Cross Mahon. Teams were divided into two groups to commence an extremely entertaining tournament. The group stages produced some scintillating soccer skills from all teams, with bravery and courage a common feature in all games. When the group stages concluded, the teams were placed into two competitions – one for “The Shield” and the other for “The Cup”.
At the end of the day, 4 teams were left order lamisil from canada with the chance of bringing home the silverware. The Cup decider was a titanic affair with both defences on top despite some awe inspiring attacking play from both Scoil Iosagáin and Blarney Street “A”. With the game ending in a 0-0 draw, Scoil Iosagáin took the crown after winning 3-2 on penalties whilst Sunday’s Well “A” won the shield in a 2-0 victory over Sunday’s Well “B”.
